Our Complete Solution
Our Rain Gutter System
When installing our gutters we use only the best materials from our gutters down to the screws. Whether it is our standard aluminum or our more elegant copper, we choose materials that will provide the best longevity and perform the best. We also incorporate a step-by-step installer training process to make sure we are using only highly trained installers who know what they’re doing and are experienced in making and hanging seamless gutters. Gutters are designed to catch rain water flowing down your roof and divert it away from your home to keep it from causing damage. But in our seasons of unexpected weather, just gutters aren’t always enough.
Heat Cable
Once the gutters are installed, the next step is the heat cable. Heat cable is designed to help combat ice dams that can form at the edge of your roof and in your gutters. The common misconception with using heat cable is in the application of the cable itself. Many believe the best practice is to install heat cable on the roof to melt the snow that builds up. We, however, have found that a better method is installing the heat cable in the gutter itself with a gutter guard on top. Putting the cable on the roof can melt the snow from the first 3-4 feet of your roofline, but then not stop ice damming. It can cause an ice dam to form above the cables leading to greater damage on roofs with water membranes installed on the first couple feet of the roof. When installed in the gutter, the cable creates a heating zone within the gutter system causing the whole gutter to get hot. This allows any snow or ice that reach it during the harshest months of winter to just melt into the gutter itself. This can help eliminate lots of home owners ice damming problems. Gutter Guards
Now that your gutters are up and your heat cable is installed, it’s time for the final part of the Complete Solution – the gutter guard and more specifically, the Rhino Guard. The Rhino Gutter Guard System adds lots of benefits to your gutter system, especially when coupled with the heat cable. It’s the only completely enclosed guard system available on the market. That means that every spot is covered from the top of the gutter to the bottom of the downspout. Rhino can keep out leaves, debris, shingle grit, pine needles, seeds, animals, pests, and more. Keeping out all that will keep your gutters from clogging and keep you from needing your gutters cleaned throughout the year. Not only that, but in the Winter having Rhino Guard on your gutters can give it box-like strength which is a big help in holding up the extra weight of the snow and ice. Also when the heat cable is heating up the gutters the Rhino Guard creates a heat pocket and makes the melting process that much more effective. In fact, we strongly recommend against doing heat cable in a gutter system alone.
Our Complete Solution is the best way to not only keep your gutters working at their best all year long, but also keep you from getting up on the ladder to clean or get the snow and ice off them.
