Eric and Brian are long-time residents of the Oklahoma City area and love calling it their home. Both were born in Oklahoma City, raised in Edmond, and have deep roots in the community. Eric and Brian both went to Oklahoma State University after high school. 

Eric received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance, and minors in Accounting and International Business. Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Sports Management. Brian earned First-Team Academic All-Big 12 Honors twice while playing baseball at Oklahoma State. He was also a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and served as Rush Chairman.  

After college, Eric went to work for Chesapeake Energy as a Landman, where he has been for over 14 years. He has been in many different roles at Chesapeake and has gained valuable experience in project management, budgeting, leadership, negotiation, contracts, and teamwork. Eric has experienced a lot of ups and downs in the oil and gas industry, leading to a great deal of personal growth, and a desire to diversify his skill sets into other industries. Eric also is part-owner of two real estate investment companies that concentrate on purchasing single-family rental homes in the Oklahoma City area. 

Eric met his wife and best friend, Blaire, at Chesapeake in 2010 and they married in 2015. They have a 15-month-old son, Breck, and are active foster parents. Blaire left the corporate world after 10 years for an even busier and more demanding role as a full-time mom. They love to travel and have been to Thailand, New Zealand, Mexico, Italy, and all over the U.S. They love to spend time with family and friends, read, be outdoors and stay active by running, walking, and playing sports.  

After college, Brian followed in his brother Eric’s footsteps into the oil and gas industry where he took a job at Sandridge Energy in Land Administration. After Sandridge, he worked at Chesapeake Energy in the Land Title Department and eventually moved into the client-centered land services side of the oil and gas business working for Patriot Energy Development. In his years with Patriot Energy Development, Brian served as a Project Manager/Title Specialist where he put together detailed ownership reports, oversaw diverse due diligence projects, and mentored new hires. Brian also served in a business development role focused on driving important new business from prominent oil and gas producers. 

During the downturn of the oil and gas industry, Eric and Brian started looking at franchising as a way to own their own business and diversify from the volatile oil and gas industry. When they found The Brothers that just do Gutters, they noticed something unique. The Brothers that just do Gutters have strong founders in Ken and Ryan Parsons, who obviously really care for people and culture. They also invest in technology, systems, training, and have a great support system for franchisees. They are people of high moral character and integrity who want to grow and change the way contractors do business. Eric and Brian quickly realized they needed to be a part of this and wanted to bring this type of business to their community.

Not everyone follows through on this belief, but actions tell the real story. How It All Began

In 1999 Ken Parsons had just left the teaching industry and started his own gutter contractor company under the name Waterfall Seamless Gutters. In 2002 Ken’s younger brother, Ryan Parsons, accepted a job on the truck with Ken after the Graphic Design company he was working for crashed. In 2006 the Brothers briefly changed their name to Water-flow Gutter Solutions before finally becoming “The Brothers that just do Gutters” in 2009. The name we all know and love came from a radio ad the Brothers ran just a couple years prior to the change. Everyone who heard it liked it so much they thought it was the company name so Ken and Ryan stopped fighting it and adopted the name. With the name change came a few title changes as well. We decided we no longer wanted to be salesman, presidents or owners but rather Solutionists©, which embodied what we represent to our clients. Ken Parsons was re-entitled Senior Solutionist©, and Ryan Parsons became Chief Solutionist©.

Being in the gutter contractor business for over 15 years was an effort of adaptation and determination. We have been able to be successful for so long because we made our main focus the customer. The Brothers that just do Gutters offer a wide variety of installations, cleaning and repairs in a small niche industry of seamless rain gutters and leaf guards. We have been able to grow the reliability of our services and offer only the best products by focusing all our effort on gutter systems and guards.
