Rebuilding Together is an organization that is close to our hearts here at The Brothers that just do Gutters. The mission of this organization is to work with local businesses, contractors, service providers and volunteers to transform the lives of low-income homeowners by improving their homes, the health of their living environment and revitalizing the communities, with a vision of a safe and healthy home for every person.
It all started in 1973 when a small group of people in Texas realized the increased need for home repairs within their community, and the lack of money to complete them. This group then volunteered their skills, work and time to help rebuild for these families. By 1988 this group became known as Rebuilding Together and opened a national office.
Rebuilding Together not only helps our local community and their families by improving their quality of life, but also helps to bring together local businesses and volunteers with these homeowners.
In 2014 Rebuilding Together performed repairs on:
Donated for these repairs:
They work with a number of community and corporate sponsors to make all of these projects a possibility. As part of National Rebuilding day on April 30, 2016, The Brothers that just do Gutters, along with a number of other local businesses and community volunteers, will be participating in two Rebuilding Together projects, one in Hyde Park, and one in Hopewell. Both of these homes will be getting new roofs, along with many other critical repairs, as well as new gutter systems. These repairs will help these families to have warm, dry and safe homes. We are so happy to be a part of this project, and to be of assistance to our local community members. The Brothers that just do Gutters truly believe in this cause, and what Rebuilding Together is doing for our community.
